Functional Overview: The Compensation & Benefits Officer is accountable to the Compensation & Benefits Assistant Manager/Manager for providing accurate, timely and efficient government report for internal & external employees. Compensation & Benefits Officer will assist in the provision of an advisory and consultancy service to management and staff on a range of Compensation and Benefits related matters. Compensation & Benefits Officer also provides accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to internal, TAAS employees & Managed services; for complex payroll calculations and transactions. You’ll be interacting with key players such as C-level executives from enterprise-level organizations which can expand your skills and network. Negotiating and administering healthcare and other company benefit plans Attend to Employee concerns related to benefits Verify and Approve Sickness and Maternity Benefit Validation of Employee Government Contribution and Loan Monitoring of Government Posting (Loan and Contribution) monthly Assess Employee Loan Eligibility and approval of Employee Government Loan Authenticate/Verify Bank application of New Hire Employees Quality Assurance to Human Resource Management System Develop and Implement department procedures and process flow Performs special project as assigned Responsible for identification of problems and make recommendations for change Performs related duties as required Others: Renewal of Government Documents and signatories every end of the year for SSS, HDMF and Philhealth Request for Certificate of Compliance for designated government agencies Remittance and posting of other Clients government contribution and loans Attending other client concern in terms of payroll and benefits Attending Employment Verification PAYROLL: Ensures proper and timely calculation of payroll instructions in payroll system for internal, TEAMS employees & Managed services for approval of Compensation and Benefits Manager/Senior Manager. Assisting in payroll function; and ensures that the payroll process is properly and accurately done. Update and review the payroll summary (year to date). Review monthly statutory contribution such as SSS, HDMF, and PHIC for reconciliation of accounting department. Prepare Monthly Peza report and for review of Compensation Benefits Manager and for reconciliation of accounting department. Prepare Monthly Withholding tax report and for review of Compensation Benefits Manager and for reconciliation of accounting department. Review the 2316 in BIR system for printing and approval of Compensation and Benefits Manager. Assisting in annualization process. Prepare last pay and tentative last pay computation for approval of Compensation and Benefits Manager. Reports Generation: Tax remittance 1601C (monthly and annually) Statutory Remittances (SSS, PHIC, HDMF) PEZA report (monthly/quarterly/annually) 2316 (last pay, and annualization) Alphalist Prepares monthly payroll related reports Others: Conducts employee orientation for payroll and withholding tax. Responds/answers client queries relating to payroll and withholding tax. Conducts site visits, when necessary. Other matters/responsibilities may be assigned from time to time. Excellent English (verbal and written) communication skills Confidentiality Analytical and detail-oriented Capable of multi-tasking Experience in client escalations is an advantage Personal and people management abilities including supervision, team building and conflict resolution Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum of 3-5 years as an Officer or Supervisor for HR task or Compensation & Benefits Working knowledge of payroll best practices Reporting Skills and Maintaining Employee Files Dependability, Organization, Scheduling, Independence, and Orienting Employees Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products Excel level: Macro Level Knowledgeable of Philippines Labor law in terms of Compensation and Benefits
