IMO Math Expert - AI

About the Role

We are looking for highly skilled Mathematics experts with strong Olympiad-level problem-solving abilities to contribute to cutting-edge AI research projects. In this role, you will design challenging mathematics problems, evaluate AI-generated solutions, and help improve the reasoning capabilities of advanced language models.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in Algebra, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Geometry, particularly at the level of AIME, HMMT, and IMO competitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original competition-level mathematics problems.
• Develop detailed, rigorous solutions using proper mathematical reasoning.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated mathematical solutions.
• Identify logical errors, reasoning gaps, and incorrect conclusions.
• Classify problems by domain, topic, and difficulty level.
• Contribute to the development of advanced AI evaluation benchmarks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or pursuing) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Olympiad-level mathematics.
• Expertise in Algebra, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Geometry.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to write mathematical expressions and solutions using LaTeX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Reliable desktop/laptop and internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

• Participation in national or international Mathematics Olympiads.
• Experience as an Olympiad coach, mentor, or problem setter.
• Prior experience creating advanced mathematics content.
