This role provides coverage during a planned leave and requires someone who can step in with minimal ramp time to manage a full scope of HR operations — from day-to-day employee inquiries to payroll support and benefits administration. You will be a key point of contact for employees and will work closely with HR leadership to ensure continuity across all functions. Key Responsibilities Payroll & HRIS Serve as payroll backup, processing bi-weekly payroll in ADP when needed and auditing for accuracy. Maintain and update employee records in ADP HRIS, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and compensation updates. Run standard and ad hoc reports out of ADP to support HR and Finance requests. Benefits Administration Manage monthly benefits billing reconciliation across all carriers — audit invoices, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with carriers and Finance. Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions during open enrollment and qualifying life events. Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit vendors to resolve claims and coverage issues. Employee Relations & Front-Line Support Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, time-off, and onboarding. Escalate complex issues appropriately while managing a high volume of day-to-day questions with professionalism and accuracy. Maintain a strong customer service orientation — employees should leave every interaction with clarity and confidence. General HR Coordination Support full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes. Maintain compliance with federal and state employment law requirements; assist with audits and documentation requests. Assist with leave of absence administration (FMLA, personal leave, STD coordination). Partner with HR leadership on projects, reporting, and process improvements as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of HR Coordinator or Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on ADP experience required — both HRIS and Payroll modules (Workforce Now preferred). Direct experience with benefits billing reconciliation. Working knowledge of payroll processing; ability to run payroll independently if needed. Solid understanding of HR compliance and employment law fundamentals. Strong attention to detail — errors in payroll and benefits have real consequences. Excellent communication skills; comfortable handling sensitive conversations with discretion. Ability to prioritize and self-manage in a temporary assignment without heavy supervision. Compensation The compensation range for this position is $35–$40 per hour USD. The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different titles and levels depending on background and experience. The company reserves the right to offer additional compensation at its discretion, for example, in the form of a discretionary bonus or sales commission. Duration: Temporary – leave coverage (Anticipated Duration 12–16 weeks, subject to change). Monday–Friday, standard business hours. 3 days per week on-site in Norwood, MA; remote days are flexible.
