About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and versatile part-time HR Generalist to join our expanding team. This role is instrumental in supporting internal HR operations at COYL and providing HR services to our diverse client portfolio as part of our outsourced HR offerings. The position begins with a commitment of 10 hours per week, with the potential for growth based on performance and business needs. The HR Generalist will serve in two key capacities: supporting internal HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement, and delivering HR support to multiple clients across different industries. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, adaptability, and a service-oriented mindset to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. Qualifications Strong understanding of HR fundamentals, employment law, and compliance standards Experience supporting multiple stakeholders, clients, or departments simultaneously Excellent communication and relationship-building skills High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Tech-savvy with proficiency in remote work tools and HR software Experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR documentation Knowledge of state-specific employment laws and regulations Previous experience supporting HR functions in a service or consulting capacity is preferred Responsibilities Assist with internal HR processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding/offboarding procedures Maintain accurate HR documentation such as employee handbooks, policies, and compliance records Support employee engagement initiatives, culture activities, and internal communications to foster a positive work environment Track HR metrics, employee files, and review schedules to ensure compliance and accuracy Support client onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance Assist with client HR activities such as salary and benefits audits, employee concerns, and HR-related communications Develop and support training programs, employee development plans, and performance management tools Draft and update job descriptions, review templates, and organize performance review schedules Conduct screening calls, coordinate interviews, and support hiring workflows including background checks and offer letter preparation Monitor updates in employment law relevant to client locations and ensure compliance with state-specific requirements Create and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures for clients Assist clients in developing mission, vision, and values statements to align HR practices with organizational goals Benefits Flexible part-time schedule tailored to your availability Fully remote work environment, promoting work-life balance Opportunity to support a diverse range of small businesses across various industries Collaborative and supportive team culture Meaningful work that contributes to the growth and success of clients and COYL Professional development opportunities within a growing organization Family-friendly policies that recognize the importance of personal commitments Equal Opportunity Check Off Your List is an equal opportunity employer.
