We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized HR professional to manage and support the full range of human resources operations across a growing business. This role requires someone with strong HR experience and leadership capability who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and being hands on in the day to day execution of HR. We are looking for someone who can confidently operate independently, take ownership of the HR function, and help drive a high performing, people focused culture. The ideal candidate is a self starter who takes initiative, works independently, and thrives in a fast moving environment. They will bring a strong project management mindset, be highly organized, and have the ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and execute effectively across multiple priorities. This role requires someone who can confidently manage a broad range of HR responsibilities, including payroll end to end, government contributions, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policies and procedures, compliance, culture, engagement, training, and leadership support. The successful candidate will also help shape and drive strategic HR initiatives that support business growth, leadership capability, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness. They will play an important role in helping drive and reinforce a people focused leadership approach across the business by supporting leaders, building strong employee relationships, and helping set high standards of leadership, accountability, and culture. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Administration Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and maintenance of employee records Take ownership of day to day HR operations and act as the primary point of contact for employee HR related inquiries Maintain accurate HR documentation, contracts, records, and employee files Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and HR systems Prepare HR reports and support audits as needed Payroll, Compliance & HR Administration Manage payroll end to end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Manage government contributions, leave administration, payroll related processes, and employee records Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices Support HR administration across all employee lifecycle stages with strong attention to detail Employee Relations & Performance Management Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality, including disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, grievances, and terminations Support leaders with difficult people conversations and performance related matters Help foster a high performance, accountable, and people focused culture across the business Support performance management, employee development, and leadership capability initiatives Leadership Support & People-Focused Culture Partner with leaders across the business to help drive, model, and reinforce a people focused leadership approach and leadership standards Coach and support leaders in people management, relational leadership, accountability, performance conversations, and employee engagement Build strong relationships with employees and regularly engage with team members to understand morale, engagement, wellbeing, and the overall pulse of the business Support employee engagement, retention, wellbeing, and workplace culture initiatives, including new ideas and programs that strengthen culture and employee experience Help create meaningful onboarding, training, and development experiences across the business Strategic HR & Continuous Improvement Help shape, develop, and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned to business priorities, growth, and organizational needs Partner with leadership to strengthen people strategy, leadership capability, workforce planning, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, structure, culture, and overall people practices Bring proactive ideas and recommendations that strengthen engagement, performance, retention, and employee experience Contribute to building a high performing, people focused organization through both strategic thinking and practical execution Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven senior HR experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, People & Culture professional, or similar HR role Strong HR leadership capability with the confidence to operate independently and manage a broad HR remit with minimal direction Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic HR initiatives while also being highly hands on and operationally strong Experience helping develop and implement people strategies, leadership initiatives, workforce planning, or organizational development programs Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, payroll, compliance, policies, procedures, and HR best practices Demonstrated experience managing payroll end to end, including government contributions and payroll compliance requirements Strong experience managing employee relations matters, including disciplinary matters, performance management, investigations, and terminations Strong project management, planning, coordination, and organizational skills with excellent follow through and execution capability Self starter with strong initiative, ownership mindset, and the ability to proactively identify and drive priorities independently Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable being highly hands on and detail oriented Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence leaders and have difficult conversations when required Strong relationship building skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the business High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast paced, growing environment Proficiency in HR systems and Google Workspace Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting remote or distributed teams Experience working in a fast paced, growing, or entrepreneurial business environment Experience building employee engagement, culture, and leadership initiatives Experience
