Role Overview As Head of Growth at CardNexus, you’ll define and execute the marketing strategy that propels us to become the go-to platform for the Trading Card Game (TCG) community. As a core member of the leadership team, you’ll lead efforts to grow our user base, strengthen our brand, and establish CardNexus as a trusted name among players, collectors, and investors. What You’ll Do Develop and Execute Growth Strategy : Own the full growth funnel (AARR) by driving user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth through multi-channel strategies. Retention & Lifecycle Marketing : Build and optimize retention channels, with a strong focus on CRM, marketing automation, and lifecycle campaigns to maximize engagement and LTV. Build Brand Authority : Establish CardNexus as the leader in the TCG space through compelling storytelling, community engagement, and thought leadership. Community-Driven Growth : Foster relationships with influencers, competitive players, collectors, and investors to cultivate an active, loyal community. Digital and Performance Marketing : Scale growth through digital campaigns, SEO, SEM, social media, and partnerships to maximize reach and ROI. Data-Driven Insights : Leverage analytics to understand user behavior, optimize campaigns, and guide strategic decisions. Partnership Development : Forge partnerships with key TCG publishers, retailers, and content creators to expand our reach and ecosystem. Product Marketing : Collaborate with the product team to define and communicate the value proposition of our features to users. Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, mentoring talent and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and hands-on execution. What You Bring Core Skills: Proven experience as a senior growth leader in a high-growth startup, marketplace, or gaming company, with ownership over the AARR funnel. Strong expertise in retention marketing , including CRM, marketing automation, and lifecycle marketing. Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset—comfortable rolling up your sleeves to implement and iterate quickly. Familiarity with gaming or collectible markets , with a passion for building communities around shared interests. Deep understanding of growth marketing , with a track record of scaling user bases through both organic and paid channels. Strong command of branding, storytelling, and community engagement , especially in niche or enthusiast markets. Demonstrated success in building and leading marketing teams in fast-paced environments. Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools and the ability to turn insights into action.
