Position Summary The Environmental Engineer provides senior-level technical leadership in environmental compliance, remediation, and sustainability initiatives. This role manages complex environmental projects, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports federal environmental programs across multiple facilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review environmental investigations and technical reports Design and oversee environmental projects, including remediation systems and pollution control solutions Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and evaluate contractor proposals Manage environmental projects ($1M–$3M), including schedules, budgets, and contractor performance Review contractor deliverables for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance Conduct hazardous waste management studies and facility inspections Support environmental liability documentation and reporting Analyze data and perform quality assurance/quality control evaluations Advise on remediation strategies and contaminated site cleanup Utilize environmental systems, including database management and GIS tools Ensure compliance with regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, and NPDES Support sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline. Senior-level engineering experience managing environmental compliance and remediation projects. Demonstrated knowledge of federal environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
