Description The GRS North America (NA) Office of Underwriting is looking for a Business Operations Director to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, lead cross‑functional projects and governance forums, and serve as a trusted thought partner to the NA Office of Underwriting leadership team. Responsibilities · Design and execute cross‑functional strategic initiatives from scope through implementation and ongoing management. · Perform and communicate business analysis to inform decisions and measure impact. · Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Data, Operations and Claims partners to identify and drive initiatives. · Partner closely with NA Office of Underwriting executives and ensure high‑quality deliverables and communication. If the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of a GRS office, then the selected candidate must come into the office two times/week. This policy is subject to change. Qualifications Advanced level of knowledge of financial analysis, marketing, technology, strategic planning, management Strong written and oral communication skills to aid in interactions with senior management, other departments, and industry Capabilities required include resiliency, adaptability, self-confidence, organized, achievement-orientated, collaborative, and openness to new experiences Knowledge, skills are other capabilities are typically acquired through an MBA or equivalent and at least 10 years experience, some which should be in a top-tier strategy consulting role Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with commercial lines underwriting Experience with AI tools and governance Project management Travel 10%
