Overview: To research, write, submit, and track private and public grant proposals to fund MOFGA programs and general operations. Supervisor: Director of Membership and Development Work Week: Full Time, typically Monday-Friday. Position: Salaried. Federal Fair Labor Standards Act Exempt. The employee is not eligible for overtime payment. This position is part of the MOFGA Workers United Union bargaining unit. Additional Work Hours: Extended hours of operation during the Common Ground Country Fair weekend. Salary Range : This is a salaried position with a starting annual salary range of $60,000-$63,000, depending on experience. Location: Hybrid . This position requires some time working from MOFGA’s office in Unity. A hybrid Unity office/remote work schedule may be agreed upon and can be discussed during the hiring process. Primary Responsibilities: Grant Writing Work with staff to develop proposal ideas/concepts. Lead coordination with staff in writing funding proposals. Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals. Grant Administration Nurture and maintain positive, long-term relationships with private and public grant administrators and program officers. Submit grant proposals and reports on time, and maintain an annual calendar for all grant deadlines. Update grant information in the CRM and manage the maintenance and organization of all digital grant files, ensuring all correspondence, application materials, and reports are accurately archived and accessible. Prepare and distribute progress reports. Research potential new funding sources. Other Support Draft and manage professional correspondence with foundations and grant administrators. Coordinate ongoing communication with grant administrators, staff, and board to support funding goals. Participate in MOFGA’s Common Ground Country Fair as needed, in-person. Required Abilities and Knowledge Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in writing funding proposals. Proven track record of success in securing private and public grants. Experience working with diverse staff and volunteers in envisioning proposal concepts. Proven ability to organize complex, fast-moving projects and meet deadlines. Experience in conducting grant research. Proven ability to manage information within a CRM and generate corresponding reports. Proven understanding of computer systems, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. MOFGA’s success depends on the collaborative spirit among its staff and volunteers. Employees are expected to be ready and willing to assist colleagues across all program areas when directed by their supervisors. This includes having all staff work at the Common Ground Country Fair.
