Freelance Product Designer

Location: Finland (remote possible)
Start Date: July, latest 1st August 2026
Contract Length: Initial 3 months

The client are now looking to engage a Freelance Product Designer, with a focus on conversion optimisation and product performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of user behaviour, optimisation strategies, and app-based product design, combined with fluency in both Finnish and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead conversion optimisation initiatives within the product, focusing on increasing feature unsage
• Collaborate closely with commercials to identify opportunities for improving product performance
• Work hands-on with the app experience, ideating and implementing design improvements that drive engagement and conversion
• Translate business and commercial insights into user-centric design solutions
• Analyse user journeys and behaviours to identify friction points and opportunities for optimisation
• Support experimentation and testing to enhance performance
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Designer with a strong focus on conversion optimisation
• Experience working on app-based products (mobile-first or native apps preferred)
• Strong understanding of user behaviour, UX principles, and data-driven design decisions
• Ability to work cross-functionally business teams
• Fluency in Finnish and English (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience working in performance-driven or growth-focused environments is highly desirable
