(fluent Ukrainian) Full-Stack Web Engineer (Node/PHP + SvelteKit)

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Web Engineer for a Ukrainian product IT company that has been specializing in developing desktop applications for macOS and Windows. Currently company has 15 Mac & Windows utility apps that help people manage data on iOS devices, download and convert music & video to iOS devices, grab copyright-free images, organize desktop workspace and more. As a Full-Stack Web Engineer you'll take ownership of the company’s website and help us build new functionality around trials, checkout flows, and product launches. You will inherit the current architecture and continue improving it while working closely with product and marketing to ship new features quickly. Technical Stack: Frontend — SvelteKit , TailwindCSS; Backend — Node.js, PHP ; Infrastructure — Docker, S3, Cloudflare. Excited? Let’s see what it takes 💛 What you will do: Maintain and develop the main website, its performance and page load speed; Gain a deep understanding of the current website architecture and functionality; Build new functionality related to trials, licensing, and checkout flows; Work with marketing to launch landing pages and product campaigns; Set up and maintain pre-designed web assets such as banners and pop-ups; Support email marketing infrastructure including Sendy and MailChimp configuration; Help migrate marketing automations from MailChimp to Sendy over time; Refactor legacy code to improve system stability and performance, including migrating parts of the monolithic PHP backend into a modern TypeScript-based architecture based on Directus (BaaS / Node.js); Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase; Contribute to other web projects within the company; Propose improvements to the architecture when needed; Develop new features while maintaining the stability of the platform. What you need to succeed in this role: 2+ years of experience in a Full Stack Developer role or similar positions; Proficiency in developing web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React; Experience with SvelteKit (or eagerness to learn it in action); Strong skills in TypeScript and VanillaJS; Hands-on experience with Node.js for server-side programming; Extensive knowledge of PHP, including proficiency with versions 5.2 and 7 or higher; English proficiency at B1+ level (for reading documentation and written communication); Experience working with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis; Experience designing and integrating REST APIs; Solid understanding of front-end optimization techniques and the web rendering process; Experience with Docker and Docker-compose for containerization and deployment; Advanced skills in front-end development using Tailwind CSS; Strong understanding of application architecture and software design principles; Ability to collaborate closely with product and marketing teams on website improvements and experiments; Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly communicate technical topics with both technical and non-technical teammates. Will be a plus: Hands-on experience working with Go; Proven experience integrating payment solutions (FastSpring, Stripe, Paddle); Experience supporting high-traffic marketing or product-driven platforms; Track record of launching independent projects end-to-end; Experience with BaaS and headless CMS (Directus, Supabase, Strapi, etc.); Personal pet projects you built and deployed from scratch.
