Role Overview The Finance & Procurement Manager will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s financial management and procurement functions. This role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, compliance, and value-driven procurement practices aligned with LEAP Africa’s mission and donor expectations. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Strategy Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders Manage cash flow, financial risks, and investment strategies Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making Accounting & Compliance Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and donor requirements Oversee audits (internal and external) and implement recommendations Maintain robust internal controls and financial governance systems Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of financial transactions Procurement & Vendor Management Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures Oversee sourcing, vendor selection, and contract negotiation processes Ensure cost-effectiveness, transparency, and compliance in procurement activities Manage vendor relationships and performance evaluation Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 professionals Drive a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture Identify skill gaps and support staff development initiatives Systems & Process Optimization Oversee the use and optimization of financial management systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) Improve financial and procurement processes for efficiency and scalability Leverage data and technology for reporting and decision-making Requirements Education & Certification Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Procurement Management, or a related field Must be a Chartered professional (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIPS, or equivalent) Experience Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management and procurement At least 6 years in a progressive leadership role Prior experience in an international development organization or NGO is highly preferred Technical Skills Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing Hands-on experience in procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management Proficiency in financial systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong MS Office skills Core Competencies High level of integrity and ethical standards Strong leadership and people management skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent communication and stakeholder management Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Benefits Net Salary: ₦2,000,000 per month Benefits: Health Insurance (HMO) Pension Life Insurance Cover Additional: Learning & Development opportunities based on identified needs
