About Role

We are looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Coimbra.

This is a primarily remote role, with occasional on-site attendance in Coimbra, Portugal. Candidates must be based in Portugal.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial processes, reporting, and cash flow management across the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow operations, payments, bank accounts, and cash flow forecasts
• Control accounts receivable and payable processes, including invoicing, collections, supplier management, and payment follow-up
• Support procurement activities and ensure proper financial documentation and controls
• Prepare management control entries and operational financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and support monthly accounting closing activities
• Ensure accurate organization of financial and accounting information
• Collaborate with internal teams to align financial goals with project objectives and deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or related field
• 3+ years of experience, preferably in accounting firms or finance operations roles
• Strong knowledge of SNC and Portuguese tax framework
• Solid understanding of cash flow management, accounts payable and receivable processes, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
