Finance Manager / Head of Finance – Colombia-Based, Remote Overview We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Head of Finance based in Colombia to oversee and drive the financial strategy and operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring advanced knowledge of U.S. financial markets, corporate finance law, and accounting best practices. This is a remote leadership role supporting international stakeholders and U.S.-based financial reporting and compliance efforts. Key Responsibilities · Lead the company’s financial planning, capital structure design, and cash flow management · Analyze the organization’s liabilities, investments, and risks to guide executive decision-making · Develop and oversee short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with growth objectives · Direct the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and audit-ready reports · Manage financial forecasting, budget creation, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives · Evaluate potential investment opportunities and guide external fundraising efforts · Ensure compliance with U.S. financial reporting regulations, international tax codes, and local audit requirements · Assess operations for efficiencies, restructure recommendations, or cost-saving opportunities · Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on strategy, planning, and operational priorities · Monitor finance KPIs and lead financial reporting, planning, and analysis (FP&A) activities · Supervise the finance and accounting team including mentoring junior staff in remote environments Required Skills and Qualifications · Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate finance or executive financial leadership · At least 5 years supporting or operating within U.S.-based finance environments · Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros) and full Microsoft Office Suite · QuickBooks Online proficiency required; certification preferred · Expertise in financial forecasting, budget management, risk analysis, and U.S. tax/reporting practices · Strong knowledge of corporate finance law, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness · Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities · Leadership experience managing cross-functional or international finance teams · Strong interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Finance or MBA preferred · Amenable to a remote work contractor agreement; possession of B1/B2 U.S. visa is a plus but not required Equal Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
