We are seeking a Wide-Format Printer Installation Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of print production equipment across the U.S. This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and requires significant travel, continuous learning, and a commitment to delivering safe and professional service. Our priority locations for this role are Chicago, IL, and/or Dallas, TX. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair print production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Pre-Installation Scoping: Conduct pre-installation scoping and facility meetings with customers and contractors to ensure proper utility modifications for equipment installation. Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and document service issues with machinery at customer sites, providing timely and efficient solutions. Customer Training & Demonstration: Familiarize customers with the installed equipment, providing demonstrations and training to ensure proper usage. Customer Support: Analyze helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot issues, recommend system improvements, and identify ways to enhance customer satisfaction. Logistics Coordination: Assist in coordinating equipment and parts delivery logistics, ensuring timely setup and operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records, including service tickets, billing records, warranty information, and expense reports. Continuous Learning: Obtain and maintain necessary certifications and stay updated on industry advancements through training, trade shows, and professional publications. Qualifications Mandatory Background: A strong background in solvent, Latex, or UV printing or service is a must. RIP Software Knowledge: Proven, vital knowledge of Wide Format RIP software such as ONYX, Flexi, Print Factory, Rasterlink, or Epson Edge . Technical Expertise: A high degree of technical expertise and the ability to work independently to solve complex problems. Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor and commitment to customer satisfaction. Travel: Willingness and ability to travel significantly across the U.S. Certifications:
