Executive Director: Change & Innovation
£competitive remuneration package
Home based with requirement to travel across emh schemes and offices
emh operates in more than 45 rural and urban local authority areas across the East Midlands. We manage more than 22,000 homes, employ over 1,100 colleagues, and have a turnover of £152.5 million. We are one of the country’s leading providers of social housing, development, and care & support - passionate about what we do and focused on a clear mission: to provide homes and care to improve opportunities for people.
Building on a proud 80-year history we are now laying the foundations for the future: delivering 2,000 new homes and investing £300 million in our existing homes. Great people are at the heart of what we do. Our staff’s care and professionalism have shaped our legacy and will define our future. This is your chance to be part of it.
This is a new role in the organisation which will join our Executive Leadership Team and in which you will be spearheading the organisation’s strategic change agenda, supporting the delivery of our new Corporate Plan and leading on programmes of change that extend from this. Working through others, you will enable a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and your influence will be instrumental in improving performance, enhancing customer experience, and delivering value for money.
You’ll provide strategic leadership across the end‑to‑end change portfolio, overseeing ICT and Data & Insight, and establish robust standards and frameworks for effective delivery and decision‑making. Your contribution will be vital to translating strategic ambition into organisational impact.
We are looking for an individual with significant executive or senior leadership experience in a comparable setting – where you have led large-scale transformation, continuous improvement or operational excellence programmes. You’ll have a detailed understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and their practical application in a complex, customer focused environment. It’s also important that you bring knowledge of the UK housing sector, regulation and policy environment.
You should offer expertise that cuts across digital & ICT, data strategy & governance and organisational design & modernisation. Furthermore, you’ll believe in what we do, and be motivated by a strong sense of social purpose and the opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
