Job Purpose The Europe Area Sales Manager, Fire Suppression, will drive sales growth across the European region. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, delivering expert product knowledge, and strengthening the companys presence across diverse European markets. The position requires a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of regional market dynamics to support long-term business development. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies for fire suppression systems (e.g., Sprinkler monitoring products, Potter Brand & Safe Signal and Potter N2 systems) Achieve sales targets within assigned territories or verticals across the EU/UK Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sectors including industrial, commercial, residential, oil & gas, data centres, and infrastructure Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, facility managers, fire marshals, and end clients Keep updated with local and international fire safety codes and ensure all product/service offerings are compliant Collaborate with engineering and service teams to prepare technical proposals and quotations Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and technical seminars Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management Engage with engineering consultant firms to secure product specifications Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested Required Skills & Abilities Fluency in English; proficiency in at least one additional European language preferred Strong interpersonal skills, acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks appropriately Understanding of B2B sales, distribution networks, and regional business practices Strong listening skills and the ability to quickly identify customer needs Ability to work independently and travel extensively across Europe Proven experience in sales management, preferably in international or European markets Required Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in sales, ideally within fire protection, life safety, or industrial sectors Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline Familiarity with sales processes, customer service principles, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience desirable) Comfort using technology including Microsoft Office Suite Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time Work Environment & Benefits This role operates remotely, with travel across Europe as required Flexible working arrangements, including home-based options Competitive compensation package, including performance-based incentives and benefits Inclusive and supportive workplace fostering diversity, equality, and accessibility Our Commitment Our client is an equal opportunities employer, dedicated to creating a workplace where all employees can thrive.
