Position Summary Ellit Groups is seeking an experienced Epic ClinDoc + Stork Principal Trainer to support a major Epic training and activation initiative for a leading Midwest healthcare system. Our client is contracting with us to bring in highly skilled Epic Certified Principal Trainers to support a large-scale end-user training effort. While there may be occasional Principal Trainer responsibilities such as curriculum modifications, training material updates, and tip sheet development, the primary focus of this engagement will be delivering hands-on, instructor-led classroom training during an intensive 8-week training period from late August through October . The project begins in July with remote onboarding, credentialing, and training preparation activities , followed by onsite travel and classroom instruction. The client is seeking polished, professional trainers who excel in front of the classroom and can confidently engage clinical end users while driving adoption of Epic workflows. This role requires expertise in Epic ClinDoc and Stork , along with experience working across multiple Epic applications and integrated clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inpatient nursing documentation, obstetrics, labor and delivery workflows, and maternal-child health operations. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging instructor-led Epic training for clinical end users, super users, and operational leaders Facilitate onsite classroom training sessions during the organization's 8-week training program Support curriculum updates, training documentation, job aids, and tip sheet development as needed Translate complex clinical workflows into effective learning content and classroom instruction Collaborate with analysts, operational leaders, and project teams to ensure training aligns with system build and operational workflows Support training environment validation and readiness activities Participate in go-live preparation, activation support, and stabilization efforts Provide at-the-elbow support during activation as needed Conduct learner assessments and competency validation activities Maintain training documentation and materials to support ongoing system updates and optimization efforts Promote strong end-user adoption through effective facilitation and adult learning best practices Requirements Required Qualifications Current Epic ClinDoc Certification Current Epic Stork Certification Epic Principal Trainer experience Experience delivering instructor-led Epic training in healthcare environments Strong knowledge of inpatient nursing documentation workflows Experience supporting labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn, or maternal-child health workflows Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills Ability to travel and work onsite throughout the classroom training and activation period Experience supporting multiple Epic applications and integrated clinical workflows Preferred Qualifications Additional Epic certifications Experience supporting large-scale Epic go-lives and enterprise activations Background in nursing, clinical education, maternal-child health, or clinical informatics Experience with integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or multi-hospital health systems Change management and end-user adoption experience Experience developing training content, eLearning materials, and workflow documentation Engagement Details Contract Opportunity Start Date: July (remote onboarding and credentialing) Training Period: Late August through October Duration: Approximately 3–4 months Travel: Required Work Arrangement: Remote preparation followed by onsite classroom training and activation support If you are an experienced Epic ClinDoc and Stork Principal Trainer who enjoys working directly with end users and helping healthcare organizations successfully adopt Epic, we encourage you to apply.
