Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Epic Principal Trainer specializing in Cadence & Referrals to lead enterprise training design, development, delivery, and activation support across Epic Patient Access initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting full lifecycle efforts including Training, Design, Development, Requirements (TDR) and Activation readiness, ensuring successful end-user adoption across scheduling, referral management, and access workflows. The Principal Trainer will partner closely with operational leaders, analysts, and project teams to build scalable, role-based training programs supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives across the organization Requirements Qualifications Epic Cadence Certification Epic Referrals Certification Epic Principal Trainer credential (or ability to obtain upon hire) Strong experience supporting Epic Patient Access workflows (scheduling, referrals, call center, or access center operations) Experience developing and delivering instructor-led and virtual training programs Background in Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives Requirements Lead training strategy, curriculum development, and delivery for Epic Cadence & Referrals Support enterprise TDR (Training, Design, Development, Requirements) activities Participate in Activation planning, go-live readiness, and at-the-elbow support Develop training materials including job aids, eLearning modules, simulations, and documentation Deliver training sessions for end users, super users, and operational leaders Partner with analysts and operational leaders to translate workflows into training content Build and maintain training environments aligned with production workflows Develop and administer competency assessments and training validation processes Support go-lives, stabilization efforts, and post-activation optimization Collaborate on enterprise Epic implementations, enhancements, and upgrades Maintain accurate and updated training documentation aligned with system changes Mentor other trainers and support enterprise education initiatives Strongly Preferred Candidates with additional Epic certifications or cross-domain experience are highly preferred: Patient Access / Ambulatory Epic Ambulatory Certification Cadence & Referrals build or advanced workflow experience Access center, scheduling, or referral management experience Ancillary Applications Epic Willow (Pharmacy) Epic ASAP (Emergency Department) Epic OpTime (Surgical Services) Epic Beaker (Laboratory) Inpatient Experience (Highly Valued) Epic ClinDoc (required for inpatient track alignment) Epic Orders 2–4 inpatient certifications preferred, including exposure to: Willow ASAP OpTime Beaker Specialty Applications Epic Cupid (Cardiology) Epic Radiant (Radiology) Additional Enterprise Training Experience Multi-application Epic training experience Large-scale go-live activation support Change management or user adoption experience Experience supporting integrated delivery networks or multi-site systems Benefits Benefits What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
