Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Epic Ancillary Principal Trainer responsible for leading training strategy, curriculum development, and activation support across Epic Ancillary applications, including Willow, ASAP, OpTime, and Beaker. This role supports enterprise-wide Training, Design, Development, Requirements (TDR) and Activation readiness across multiple Epic domains. The Principal Trainer will ensure successful end-user adoption, competency, and workflow standardization for highly specialized clinical and ancillary systems. This position plays a critical role in capturing Epic Ancillary expertise not covered within other training tracks (Inpatient, Outpatient, Cadence/Referrals, or Specialty Imaging). Qualifications Epic Certification in Willow, ASAP, OpTime, and/or Beaker (required) Strong Epic Principal Trainer or Epic training experience Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects Background in clinical, ancillary, or hospital operational workflows Experience developing and delivering instructor-led and virtual training programs Strong understanding of Epic build, workflows, and end-user adoption strategies Requirements Requirements Lead training strategy, curriculum design, and delivery for Epic Ancillary applications Support enterprise TDR (Training, Design, Development, Requirements) activities Participate in Activation planning, go-live execution, and at-the-elbow support Develop role-based training materials including job aids, simulations, eLearning, and documentation Deliver training to clinical, ancillary, and operational end users across multiple departments Partner with analysts and operational leaders to translate workflows into effective training content Support Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives across Ancillary systems Build and maintain training environments aligned with production workflows Develop and administer competency assessments and user validation processes Support go-live stabilization and post-activation reinforcement training Ensure training materials reflect current Epic functionality and organizational standards Collaborate with enterprise education teams to ensure consistency across all training domains Mentor additional trainers and support enterprise training operations Strongly Preferred Candidates with cross-domain Epic experience will be prioritized to support enterprise training coverage across all roles: Inpatient Training Track Epic ClinDoc (required for inpatient track alignment) Epic Orders Minimum 2–4 inpatient certifications preferred, including: Willow ASAP OpTime Beaker Outpatient Training Track Epic Ambulatory Certification Additional: Cadence, Referrals, Willow, ASAP, OpTime, Beaker Cadence & Referrals Training Track Epic Cadence & Referrals experience Strong preference for Ambulatory and Ancillary exposure Specialty Imaging Track Epic Cupid (Cardiology) Epic Radiant (Radiology) Ancillary Depth (Ideal Fit for This Role) Multi-module certification across: Willow (Pharmacy) ASAP (Emergency Department) OpTime (Surgical Services) Beaker (Laboratory) Experience covering “gap areas” not supported in other training tracks Broad Epic enterprise exposure across clinical and operational domains Experience supporting large-scale Epic go-lives and activation events Benefits Benefits What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
