Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory MyChart Manager to lead the strategic direction, optimization, support, and ongoing enhancement of Epic Ambulatory and MyChart applications. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing application analysts, managing system initiatives, partnering with operational and clinical stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that improve provider efficiency, patient engagement, and organizational performance. The ideal candidate combines strong Epic expertise with leadership experience and a passion for advancing digital patient access, ambulatory workflows, and healthcare transformation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Epic Ambulatory and MyChart application teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional development. Establish strategic roadmaps for Ambulatory and MyChart optimization initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Partner with physician leaders, operational stakeholders, and executive leadership to identify opportunities for workflow improvement and patient engagement enhancements. Oversee the design, build, testing, implementation, and support of Epic Ambulatory and MyChart solutions. Manage project portfolios, upgrades, system enhancements, and optimization efforts across ambulatory and patient-facing applications. Ensure compliance with Epic Foundation standards, organizational governance processes, and industry best practices. Drive adoption of MyChart functionality including online scheduling, eCheck-In, questionnaires, patient messaging, telehealth, and patient self-service tools. Collaborate with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration across Epic applications. Monitor system performance, issue resolution, service levels, and application reliability. Lead change management activities and support organizational readiness for new functionality and system enhancements. Develop and maintain application documentation, policies, procedures, and governance standards. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Epic representatives regarding strategic initiatives and application improvements. Ensure regulatory, privacy, and security requirements are met across supported applications. Provide executive-level reporting on application performance, project status, team productivity, and key operational metrics. Support organizational goals related to patient access, provider satisfaction, quality outcomes, and digital transformation. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years of Epic application experience supporting Ambulatory and/or MyChart. Minimum 3 years of healthcare IT leadership or management experience. Active Epic Ambulatory Certification. Active Epic MyChart Certification. Experience leading application analysts and cross-functional project teams. Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows, provider scheduling, patient engagement strategies, and healthcare operations. Experience managing large-scale Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and industry best practices. Preferred Qualifications Additional Epic certifications such as Cadence, Welcome, Referrals, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, or Population Health. Experience supporting integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, or multi-hospital health systems. Experience with telehealth, digital front door initiatives, and patient self-service technologies. PMP, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, or other project management/process improvement certifications. Experience managing budgets, resource planning, and strategic technology initiatives.
