About The Role

We're looking for Environmental Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to develop rigorous, real-world problems that train the next generation of AI models to reason at a scientific level.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just deep domain expertise and a commitment to scientific precision.

What You'll Do

• Develop, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor
• Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related fields to design complex, meaningful problem statements
• Evaluate AI-generated responses to environmental science questions for accuracy, depth, and clarity
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model reasoning
• Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific accuracy and communicative clarity
  
  

Who You Are

• Hold a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline
• Strong expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or environmental systems
• Proficient in Python or R for research or data analysis
• Exceptional written communication skills with sharp attention to detail
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
• Fluent in English

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Familiarity with scientific writing for non-specialist audiences
• Experience designing coursework, exams, or research problems in an academic setting
• Background spanning multiple environmental science subfields
