We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Coding Specialist to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for emergency room encounters - No Injections and Infusions or E/M - Mostly diagnosis coding and procedures. This remote role is ideal for coders who excel in independent work environments and are motivated by performance-based compensation. Coders will be expected to maintain high productivity and quality standards while navigating complex documentation across multiple specialties. Key Highlights: Per-Chart Pay Model : Earn $2.25 per chart . High-performing coders average 11-12 charts per hour , with earnings directly tied to output. Transparent Productivity Metrics : Know exactly how much you’ll earn per chart—track your progress and income goals with clarity. Flexible Scheduling : Work hours available between 6 AM – 6 PM PST , including weekends. Full-time and part-time options available. Experience : Minimum of 2 years of emergency department coding experience Technology : Proficiency with EPIC and 3M 360 platforms. Knowledge : Familiarity with ED workflows, documentation styles, and coding nuance Skills : High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication. Proven ability to meet high-volume productivity goals. Experience with remote coding systems and per-chart compensation models Work Environment : Remote work with flexible scheduling options.
