Posted Friday, May 1, 2026 at 4:00 AM Position Summary: Penn Foster is looking for an experienced Email/SMS Marketing Strategist who will play a key role in improving the performance and effectiveness of our lifecycle marketing programs. This role goes beyond campaign execution—you will contribute ideas, develop testing hypotheses, and identify opportunities to optimize performance across the funnel. You will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and cross-functional partners to execute highly segmented campaigns flawlessly while also providing input on strategy, segmentation, and testing. The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented in execution and proactive in bringing forward insights and recommendations. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to build adhere to deadlines, build sophisticated drip campaigns, translate data into actionable ideas, contribute to a strong testing culture, and help drive measurable improvements in email and SMS performance. Essential Job Functions: Execute end-to-end email and SMS campaigns, including segmentation, setup, QA, and deployment in Oracle Responsys Contribute to and help execute a structured A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, messaging, timing, segmentation, personalization, etc.) Analyze campaign and lifecycle performance to identify opportunities for improved engagement and conversion Proactively recommend optimizations based on data, trends, and testing results Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to refine campaign strategy and messaging Translate campaign performance into clear insights and actionable next steps Ensure high-quality execution through rigorous QA and testing across devices and platforms Support ongoing optimization of lifecycle journeys, segmentation, and personalization efforts Track and report on key performance metrics, highlighting insights and opportunities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 5+ years of experience in email, CRM, or lifecycle marketing Hands-on experience with enterprise ESPs (Oracle Responsys preferred; Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, HubSpot, Adobe Campaign, etc.) Experience executing A/B tests and a strong interest in developing testing strategies and hypotheses Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights Experience with audience segmentation and personalization Strong attention to detail, especially in QA and campaign setup Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive mindset—you don’t just execute tasks, you look for ways to improve them HTML & CSS proficiency Work Environment & Hiring Requirements U.S. Work Location Requirement: All employees must reside in and perform work within the United States. We do not support international remote work arrangements for this role. Travel Expectations: While this is a remote position, occasional travel may be required for team meetings, company events, conferences, summits, etc. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed. On-Camera Work Environment: We operate in a highly collaborative, remote, on-camera culture. Employees are expected to be on camera during meetings unless extenuating circumstances apply.
