Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Content Development Design and develop comprehensive, role-based training programs for patient access and revenue cycle teams. Create curriculum, course materials, simulations, job aids, and competency validation tools aligned to front-end revenue cycle workflows. Translate scheduling, registration, referral, authorization, and financial clearance workflows into structured training content. Validate training materials against Epic system build (Cadence, Prelude, eMPA, and related modules) and operational workflows. Ensure alignment between clinical, operational, and revenue cycle processes where workflows intersect. Clinical Informatics & Workflow Integration Partner with patient access leaders, revenue cycle teams, finance, and Epic/IS analysts to document, assess, and optimize workflows. Serve as a liaison between operational users and Epic/IT teams to ensure accurate system representation of workflows. Participate in workflow design sessions, validation exercises, and user acceptance testing. Identify gaps between current-state and future-state workflows and recommend process and system improvements. Support standardization of scheduling, intake, registration, authorization, and financial clearance workflows across the organization. Training Program Design & Execution Design and deploy structured, role-based training programs for: Scheduling (Epic Cadence) Referral Intake & New Patient Coordination (CERM workflows) Registration (Epic Prelude) Prior Authorization (eMPA) Financial Counseling and Patient Financial Access teams Incorporate multiple learning modalities including: Epic system workflow training Policy and procedure education Tool and system utilization training Simulation-based learning and scenario practice Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with patient access leadership, revenue cycle operations, finance teams, and Epic partners to align workflows, system build, and education strategy. Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to ensure shared understanding and consistent adoption of standardized processes. Support change management initiatives to reinforce best practices, improve consistency, and strengthen revenue integrity. Act as a key partner in aligning operational performance goals with training and system optimization efforts. Learning Management System (LMS) Support Manage enrollment, course assignment, tracking, and completion reporting within the LMS. Monitor training compliance, competency validation, and organizational readiness metrics. Support development of dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into training progress and readiness. Go-Live & Stabilization Support Support go-live readiness planning, including training completion tracking and workflow validation activities. Provide go-live support, including issue identification, triage, and coordination with operational and IT teams. Participate in post-go-live stabilization efforts through March 2027, addressing workflow gaps, training needs, and system adoption challenges. Support rapid iteration of training content based on operational feedback and evolving workflows. Scope of Training Includes Epic Cadence Scheduling Infusion Template Generator (where applicable to access workflows) Referral Intake & New Patient Coordination (CERM workflows) Registration (Epic Prelude) Prior Authorization (eMPA) Financial Counseling & Clearance Processe s Position Summary The Education Program Manager – Patient Financial Access & Front-End Revenue Cycle is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive training programs while supporting informatics-driven workflow alignment across patient access and front-end revenue cycle operations at Deaconess Health System. This role ensures that scheduling, referral intake, registration, prior authorization, and financial counseling teams are fully trained, workflow-ready, and system-proficient to support efficient patient onboarding and revenue integrity from first contact through treatment initiation. The position serves as a key bridge between revenue cycle operations, clinical and administrative leadership, Epic informatics teams, and education functions, translating complex workflows into standardized system design, training programs, and adoption strategies. Requirements Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Education, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in instructional design, healthcare training, or revenue cycle education. Experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or front-end revenue cycle operations. Experience in healthcare informatics, workflow optimization, or EHR implementation environments. Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows and patient access processes. Ability to translate complex operational workflows into training content and system-aligned processes. Experience supporting healthcare implementations, go-lives, or large-scale operational transformations. Monthly travel may be required, approximately 25% of the time. Preferred Epic Cadence, Prelude, and/or eMPA experience strongly preferred. Oncology access workflow experience strongly preferred. Experience in large health systems or integrated delivery networks. Prior experience supporting enterprise revenue cycle transformation initiatives. Experience with simulation-based learning or competency-based education models.
