Overview The Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library invites applications from graduate students in Library and Information Science for a short-term paid summer 2026 internship. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in academic librarianship within a dynamic medical library environment starting July 1st, 2026. Organize and evaluate educational video content on the library's YouTube channel and identify videos or topics to be used in asynchronous research modules on Canvas for medical students interested in research. This project allows for hybrid with the potential for remote work. Responsibilities Review educational video content on the library's YouTube channel. Evaluate which content should be retired or updated. Identity videos which could be used in asynchronous research modules. Identify gaps in content and generate a list of ideas for content to be created organized by priority. Create a draft of an educational video. Shadowing library faculty in select daily activities. Delivering a final presentation on their summer experiences to library staff. Qualifications Education/Experience Enrolled in relevant master's program Strong interest in academic libraries and/or archives Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to work for at a minimum of 12 hours per week over the summer 2026 Strong attention to detail. Ability to work on self-directed projects. Fluency with basic Microsoft Office software. Familiarity with video editing software, preferred but not required. Maximum Salary USD $1,165.00/Yr.
