Position Overview
As Director of Partnerships, you will build and lead our partnerships function from the ground up. You will identify, develop, and close partnerships with companies that want to reach and support the legal professionals we serve. Our operations manager handles all fulfillment and execution. Your focus is entirely on relationships and revenue. This role starts as a 60-day paid contract engagement with the expectation of converting to full-time for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build our sponsorship program across all properties, including our weekly webinar series, newsletter, Beehiiv platform, ContractsCon, and upcoming podcast. Develop and manage relationships with legal tech companies and other organizations seeking access to our audience. Create, price, and pitch partnership packages. Build relationships that convert to meaningful, lasting partnerships. Build a pipeline and reporting system so we always know where the next six months of revenue is coming from.
Your Skills
Required Experience
This role is for someone with substantial on point experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in partnerships, sponsorships, or business development. Must have closed deals independently, not just supported others who did. Must come from the legal tech space or have extensive experience selling to or working with legal professionals. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Existing relationships with legal tech companies. Experience building sponsorship programs for media, events, or content businesses. Familiarity with the contracts or in-house legal community.
