As the Director, Head of Total Rewards, you will be the chief architect of our employee value proposition. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and administration of our global compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. You will ensure our reward systems are competitive, equitable, and data-driven to attract and retain top talent in the high-growth wealth management industry. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a holistic Total Rewards strategy that aligns with EP Wealth’s business objectives and reinforces our brand as an employer of choice. Compensation Design: Lead the design and administration of all compensation programs, including salary structures, executive, equity and complex incentive compensation plans, ensuring pay is tightly linked to performance. Benefits Management: Oversee our comprehensive benefits suite, including subsidized health insurance, mental health plans, 401(k) with company match, and wellness reimbursements. Market Intelligence: Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to ensure our programs remain competitive within the financial services and wealth management sectors. Compliance & Governance: Ensure all programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, EEO-1 reporting). Advisor to Leadership: Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and the Compensation Committee on executive compensation and emerging reward trends, ensuring programs are aligned with business priorities and talent strategies. Communication: Develop clear communication strategies to help employees understand and value their full rewards package. Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits), with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of wealth management or financial services compensation structures (e.g., AUM-based incentives) is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS platforms and compensation modeling tools. Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or Business; CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) credentials preferred. Soft Skills: Ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven storytelling and build trusted relationships in a remote environment.
