CISES is looking for a Digital Officer to support the day-to-day operation of our LinkedIn and Instagram platforms. Overview The role is part of our digital team and focuses on the accurate, timely, and consistent publication of approved content — helping ensure our research, briefings, and events reach the right audiences professionally and consistently. What the role involves Scheduling and publishing approved content across LinkedIn and Instagram Maintaining and updating the CISES social media posting calendar Coordinating post content with the various teams within CISES Monitoring engagement metrics and suggesting adjustments based on performance Supporting the promotion of CISES publications, briefings, and events What we're looking for An organised, reliable individual with an interest in communications, digital strategy, or policy outreach. This role suits a student or recent graduate who wants practical experience managing social media for a think tank or professional setting. You don't need to be an expert — you need to be consistent and detail-oriented. Time commitment Approximately 1–3 hours per week, fully remote. Progression Increased responsibility is possible over time depending on reliability and initiative, with a potential pathway to Senior Digital Officer and Director of Digital Engagement. Progression is discretionary, contingent on performance. Contributors who demonstrate sustained involvement over approximately six months may request a LinkedIn recommendation from CISES.
