The Centre for Study and Practice of Theravāda Buddhism is a registered non-profit in Greece dedicated to making the Theravāda Buddhist textual tradition accessible worldwide. Our flagship project, PaliVerse, translates directly from Pāli to English without using an intermediary language, ensuring greater fidelity to the original texts. No other project combines a complete Canon translation, AI-powered search across all three layers of the tradition — root texts, commentaries, and subcommentaries — and a consumer-facing interface. We serve scholars, students, Buddhist practitioners, and anyone seeking access to these foundational texts regardless of background or means. The project operates under the principle of Dhamma Dāna — the gift of the teachings — meaning core translations are and will remain freely accessible. Our values are accuracy, openness, and the belief that a 2,500-year-old wisdom tradition should not be locked behind language barriers or paywalls. , The PaliVerse Project is the first complete English rendering of the Pāli Canon together with its traditional commentaries — roughly 22,000 pages of the Buddha's teachings, presented side by side and explained in plain language. It's offered free to everyone as a gift (Dhamma Dāna), built under the guidance of monastic scholars. We've done the hard part. Now we need help making sure the people searching for these teachings can actually find them. We're looking for a Digital Marketing Volunteer to lead our online visibility — someone who can turn a world-first scholarly resource into something a curious person stumbles onto at exactly the right moment.
