The Qualifications We Seek
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in tag management within a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or e-commerce environment.
- Strong proficiency in Google Tag Manager (GTM), including tag implementation, governance, consent management integration, hot-fix deployment, and tag structure best practices.
- Solid experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including custom dimension governance, event schema management, and strategic dimension utilization to optimize BigQuery event volume and data quality.
- Demonstrated ability to validate and troubleshoot Meta Conversions API (CAPI) and Google Ads tracking, ensuring accurate event scoring and data layer integrity for performance marketing optimization.
- Ability to translate tracking requirements from Figma designs into clear, developer-ready data layer specifications and documentation.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and align tracking requirements with business objectives.
- Experience maintaining tracking consistency across websites, mobile applications, and Shopify checkout environments, including sessionization, attribution, and client-side/server-side tracking alignment.
- Working knowledge of Shopify data layer structures, checkout tracking limitations, automated discount configurations, compare-at pricing fields, and Shop Pay redirect behaviors.
- Proven experience partnering with developers to resolve implementation challenges, define tracking requirements, and manage tasks within Jira.
- Strong documentation skills, with experience creating and maintaining centralized tracking specifications, implementation guides, and cross-functional documentation repositories.
Your Daily Tasks
- Implement, QA, and document tags across GTM, GA4, Quantum Metric, Dynamic Yield, Meta, Google Ads, CRM platforms, and server-side event pipelines while managing and clearing active implementation backlogs
- Translate Figma feature designs into detailed data layer specifications, defining parameters, values, and formats while owning tracking scope through QA sign-off
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to support data layer implementation, reduce development friction, and ensure reliable tracking across releases
- Maintain tracking consistency across web platforms, Flutter-based mobile applications, and Shopify checkout experiences, including sessionization logic, UTM persistence, and attribution integrity
- Monitor and maintain Meta and Google pixel event quality scores that directly impact advertising performance and media investment optimization
- Manage client-side and server-side event synchronization through the LR platform, ensuring event parity and consistent performance
- Support A/B testing infrastructure by maintaining Dynamic Yield-to-Quantum Metric event pipelines, variant tracking, and feature flag reporting
- Participate in monthly data audits comparing GA4 events against source-of-truth data, documenting findings and coordinating issue resolution
- Support OneTrust-to-GTM consent management compliance while adhering to established security and legal change management protocols
- Contribute to the development of AI-assisted QA frameworks and assertion testing against downstream BigQuery datasets
- Participate in intake and refinement sessions to evaluate tracking impacts, scope requirements, and apply analytics-focused domain expertise
- Maintain and contribute to the Solution Design Document (SDD), ensuring alignment across product, engineering, and analytics teams
