We're looking for experienced data security and DLP professionals to help us do that. Your hands-on knowledge of how sensitive information is exposed, detected, and protected will directly shape the reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems. This is a remote, flexible contract role — you set your hours and work on your own schedule. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic data security and DLP scenarios across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments Classify data sensitivity levels, exposure pathways, and policy violations Evaluate prevention, detection, and incident response strategies for accuracy and completeness Generate, label, and validate data security cases used to train and benchmark AI models Apply your knowledge of real-world data risk to help AI reason more accurately about sensitive information Who You Are 2+ years of experience in data security, compliance, or security operations Familiar with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy or regulatory concepts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) Practical understanding of how data risk plays out across modern enterprise environments Able to think critically about edge cases, gray areas, and real-world policy enforcement challenges Self-directed and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with cloud DLP tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Google CASB, Netskope, Symantec DLP) Background in security operations, incident response, or compliance auditing Familiarity with AI evaluation or data annotation workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community Make a meaningful contribution to AI safety and responsible AI development Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
