About the role We’re looking for a Data Analyst to support decision-making across Verda, with a strong focus on financial data and business performance. You will translate business questions into data models, reports, and dashboards. Your primary stakeholders initially will be Finance, with scope expanding to other teams over time. You will be the first Data Analyst focused on financial and business metrics so you will have a good chance to impact how things are done going forward. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take on a mix of structured analysis and ad hoc problem-solving, that includes building reports, exploring data, and bringing new perspectives to how we measure and understand the business. You’ll play a key role in helping define and track both internal and external metrics, while supporting teams with clear, actionable insights. Your responsibilities Perform ad hoc analysis to support finance, commercial, and leadership teams Build and maintain reports and dashboards focused on financial performance and key business metrics Support the definition and tracking of core KPIs across the business Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear insights Provide visibility into revenue, costs, server utilisation and overall performance Contribute to forecasting and planning processes Your key competencies Strong analytical skills and understanding of what drives the business Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase, Power BI, or similar) Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting needs Proven understanding of data processing, statistical analysis, prediction models Experience with financial or operational analytics Comfort working in a new environment where processes and tooling are still being established Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Nice-to-haves Experience in a startup or high-growth environment Interest/experience in implementing AI workflows and using AI tools Background in finance, economics, or a quantitative field Exposure to forecasting Why Verda Cash + equity compensation along with various fringe benefits (e.g., healthcare, lunch, wellbeing, etc.).
