Cybersecurity Research Engineer, Senior Senior Cybersecurity Research Engineer (KL, frequent HK travel): lead offensive/defensive security research, tailor tools/frameworks, and mentor on memory security, logs, and forensics. We usually respond within three days JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct offensive and defensive security research to enhance the organization’s overall security posture and evaluation capabilities. Research endpoint security mechanisms and attack techniques to support security assessments, red team exercises, and defense optimization. Participate in security research on endpoint persistence, memory security, and covert communication techniques. Customize and enhance attack-defense frameworks and security tools. Study attack behavior tracing, log analysis, and anti-forensics techniques to support detection and incident response. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong computer science foundation; proficient in Windows and Linux operating system principles. Familiarity with endpoint security and offensive/defensive techniques; deep understanding of low-level system mechanisms. Knowledge of common persistence techniques, memory security technologies, and defensive strategies. Experience with mainstream security assessment or attack-defense frameworks, including secondary development or customization. Understanding of system logs, file systems, and forensic analysis fundamentals. Strong security research ability, quick learning, and technical documentation skills. Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience in related roles. Role based in KL office, and expected to travel to HK office frequently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in red team exercises, security assessment, or security research projects. Background in memory security, fileless attacks, or low-level security research. Security research publications, technical articles, or contributions to the security community.
