The main responsibilities include:
- Investigating and responding to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel.
- Advanced analysis and correlation of alerts from Microsoft Defender and other security technologies.
- Performing proactive threat hunting and detection.
- Developing and enhancing detection rules, analytics, and monitoring use cases.
- Participating in security improvement initiatives such as automation (Logic Apps/SOAR), optimizing logging and visibility, refining detection capabilities, and implementing or improving security controls.
- Working alongside infrastructure, systems, and cloud teams to support secure configurations and operational enhancements.
- Contributing to the evolution of SOC procedures, workflows, and capabilities.
- Communicating findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
To be considered, candidates should have:
- 2 years of experience
- Previous experience in SOC environments (L2 profile or advanced L1 with strong analytical skills).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365 from both an administration and security perspective.
- Solid grounding in Windows systems, networks and communication, and identity and access control.
- Analytical and investigative abilities, technical autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in security platforms and related technologies.
- Possession of at least one of the following certifications: SC-200, AZ-500, SC-300, Security+, GCIH, MS-102, or AZ-104.
- English Level: Advance/ C1
