About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT Infrastructure Operations team on a 12-month contract basis, with an inside IR35 designation. This remote role is integral to supporting the delivery of secure and compliant infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on cyber governance, compliance, and assurance. The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for cyber compliance, ensuring that all infrastructure initiatives adhere to relevant security standards and best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with cyber, project, and infrastructure teams to maintain and improve security controls, manage accreditation processes, and promote a culture of cyber awareness across the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst, Assurance, or Compliance specialist, preferably within infrastructure or IT operations environments.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+, NIST, and other relevant accreditation processes.
- Experience working with infrastructure and project delivery teams to embed security controls and ensure compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, documentation, and reporting.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cyber compliance across the organization’s infrastructure projects and operations.
- Ensure adherence to security standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+, and other relevant frameworks.
- Identify gaps in processes, controls, and accreditation compliance; recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cyber and project teams to resolve security issues, facilitate audits, and drive alignment on security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, including procedures, evidence, and audit trails.
- Track compliance actions, monitor progress, and provide regular reports on the security posture to senior management.
- Conduct security health checks, vulnerability assessments, and support incident response activities.
- Promote cyber awareness across teams and support control improvements to strengthen overall security posture.
