Position: CUI Compliance Officer and Security Administrator Location: Remote; with travel and onsite as needed Job Type: Full-time Reports To: Senior Facility Security Officer Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) Compliance Officer with expertise in 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM to establish and lead our CUI compliance program, as well as perform security administration duties. Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership: Establish and lead a comprehensive CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) compliance program. Policy Development: Develop, document, and maintain CUI policies, procedures, guidelines, and checklists. CUI Identification: Implement clear steps for identifying CUI; train staff on CUI identification and handling. Program Integration: Initiate kickoff meetings for new programs to ensure CUI considerations are addressed from the start. Support: Maintain office hours for employee questions. Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to identify CUI and understand technical documentation implications. Auditing & Verification: Conduct regular audits of documents and processes; verify correct CUI markings and protections. Supply Chain Integration: Work with supply chain to ensure CUI protection; develop protocols for sharing CUI with suppliers and partners. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all CUI regulations; manage reporting mechanisms for CUI issues. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update CUI processes; stay current on CUI regulations and best practices. Security Administrator Functions: Compliance and Regulation: Ensures the facility adheres to NISPOM, DoD directives, and internal security policies. Clearance Processing: Help maintain personnel security clearance processes and maintain related records. Security Training: Conduct security awareness training for all staff, including CUI and classified information handling. Security Audits: Perform security audits and self-inspections to ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM. Document Control: Protects, tracks, and manages classified documents or technical data Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, or a related role. In-depth knowledge of CUI regulations, NIST SP 800-171, and related standards. Experience developing and implementing compliance programs. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Experience with auditing, training, and process improvement. Experience working with government contracts. Active security clearance (SECRET or higher preferred) ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
