Description This position is based at our Northshore Branch (2077 Town Center Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37922). It follows a hybrid/remote schedule (in the office 3-4 days/week). Role: The Credit Reporting Specialist is responsible for researching and resolving credit reporting disputes in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related regulatory requirements. This role includes conducting thorough investigations, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation, and analyzing reporting data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Credit disputes are resolved within required regulatory timeframes, and processes are consistently followed to maintain compliance standards. Collaborates with internal teams to strengthen controls, enhance procedures, and ensure all policies remain current and aligned with regulatory guidelines. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Ensures all credit reporting activities are processed in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintains accurate and timely documentation and reporting of loan statuses and related actions to ensure data integrity and compliance standards are consistently met. Collaborates in the resolution of escalated member issues, disputes, and complaints related to credit reporting, ensuring timely and accurate processing of necessary corrections or updates through e-OSCAR. Partners with Compliance and Risk Management teams to maintain adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and credit reporting requirements. Maintains awareness of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices related to credit reporting functions, and continuously evaluates and improves processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness. Participates in special projects, reviews, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned, supporting departmental and organizational objectives. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience working with credit reporting practices and applicable regulatory requirements is required. Experience working with credit bureau reporting platforms such as e-OSCAR, Bullseye, TransUnion Direct, or similar credit reporting systems is preferred. Education: High School Diploma or GED is required Bachelor's degree in business related field is preferred Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) certification is preferred Other Skills Required: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing ability. Excellent time management skills and accustomed to working with deadlines. Must be detail-oriented and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
