Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, conversion-focused Creative Strategist - Paid Channels to serve as the architectural bridge between performance data and creative execution. This is a senior individual contributor role built for a data-driven storyteller who knows how to dissect paid media metrics and translate those insights into high-converting ad concepts.
In this position, you will own the creative testing loop from end to end. You will not be passively waiting for assets; you will actively mine customer reviews, competitor data, and audience insights to build testable ad concepts, write high-impact scripts, and design performance iteration plans. The ideal candidate treats creative as the primary lever for scaling paid media accounts and thrives in a rapid, hypothesis-driven testing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Concept Development
Insight Synthesis: Turn raw audience insights, psychological pain points, offer angles, and core product benefits into clear, testable ad concepts designed to convert.
Full-Funnel Asset Architecture: Write highly persuasive copy and technical creative briefs for static images, high-impact video hooks, landing page layouts, and user-generated content (UGC) creator prompts.
Platform-Specific Optimization: Design creative strategies optimized natively for the unique user behaviors of Meta, TikTok, Google, and YouTube.
Testing Frameworks & Post-Production Iteration
The Iteration Engine: Build structured creative testing roadmaps and performance iteration plans, ensuring the creative pipeline is constantly fed with fresh angles.
Winner Scaling: Analyze creative performance data alongside media buyers to diagnose why an ad won or lost, and rapidly engineer secondary iterations (e.g., swapping hooks, visual pacing, or body copy) to extend asset lifecycles.
Production Alignment: Partner closely with internal graphic designers, video editors, and external content creators to ensure production outputs match strategic briefs perfectly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5-6+ years of dedicated experience developing ad creative strategy specifically for paid social and performance marketing channels.
Brand Context: Proven track record working with high-growth DTC/e-commerce brands, with a strong preference for premium consumer products or parenting/lifestyle categories.
Performance Literacy: A deep, intuitive understanding of paid media metrics (e.g., Hook Rate, Hold Rate, ROAS, CPA, and CTR) and how to manipulate creative variables to lift them.
Scriptwriting & Briefing Excellence: Exceptional ability to write structured, direct-response scripts and build visual storyboards that external creators can easily execute.
Autonomy: Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to operate completely independently with minimal training.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Pipeline Velocity: Consistent delivery of high-quality, fully realized creative briefs according to the testing sprint schedule.
Creative Hit Rate: Increasing the percentage of creative concepts that graduate from testing sandboxes into active, high-budget paid media campaigns.
Efficiency Improvements: Measurable lifts in account-level conversion metrics and customer acquisition costs (CAC) driven by creative optimization.
