About The Diplomatic and Consular Networks Database and Rankings The Center has developed a platform that tracks embassies, high commissions, consulates, and permanent missions worldwide. The platform has been selected for the Living Atlas of the World – a collection from the American group Esri, the world leader in geographic information systems (GIS). Visit: https://arcg.is/1TDPiy1 Your role as a Correspondent The Center is looking for contributors across the globe to support the accuracy of the platform’s database. As a Correspondent, you would: - Monitor changes in countries' diplomatic and consular presence. - Use a simple online form to report updates. - There are no obligations or quotas – send updates only when you are aware of them. For instance, you may see in the news that a foreign embassy has opened in Bern, or that Switzerland has opened a consulate in Japan. Such instances may occur a few times a year. You would then report it via the online form. You should apply if … - You are or were involved in the media/news/press industry. - You have a strong interest in diplomacy, geopolitics, and international relations. - You can write in basic English (no problem if you are not at an advanced level).
