Summary of Role: As our Volunteer Contracts Counsel, you will support Solution Community’s legal and operational functions by drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and legal agreements across the organization. You will help ensure that organizational partnerships, volunteer engagements, donor relationships, and third-party arrangements are properly documented, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards and risk management practices. This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys contract drafting, practical legal problem-solving, and supporting mission-driven organizations through strong legal infrastructure and governance support. What Will You Do? Draft, review, revise, and manage a variety of legal agreements, including NDAs, volunteer agreements, pro bono agreements, partnership agreements, donor agreements, and vendor contracts. Conduct legal and operational reviews of third-party relationships to identify contractual and compliance risks. Support the development, maintenance, and standardization of contract templates, clauses, and legal documentation processes. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure contracts align with organizational objectives and policies. Assist in reviewing terms and conditions related to partnerships, sponsorships, collaborations, and external engagements. Maintain organized contract records and support contract lifecycle tracking processes. Escalate higher-risk legal matters to senior legal leadership or General Counsel as appropriate. Contribute to strengthening Solution Community’s legal operations, governance, and compliance practices. Who Are We Looking For? Licensed attorney, legal counsel, contract specialist, or legal professional with an active U.S. bar license and experience in contract drafting and review, with 5+ years of experience preferred. Experience working with NDAs, service agreements, partnership agreements, nonprofit contracts, or vendor agreements preferred. A U.S. Citizen or valid work visa; experience practicing in the United States. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify legal, operational, and reputational risks within agreements. Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving, multicultural environment.
