About the Role
Churchill Cost Consultants (Churchill) is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support large-scale infrastructure initiatives for a Fortune 100 technology client. This role will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of critical infrastructure projects, including utility infrastructure, site development, civil works, and supporting facility projects.
The Construction Project Manager will lead projects through the full lifecycle—from planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout—while partnering closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and client teams. Success in this role requires strong construction management expertise, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional environments.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside on the East Coast of the United States. Quarterly travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and construction projects from initiation through closeout.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, procurement activities, and construction execution to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Oversee multiple projects at varying stages of development and construction.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, design, operations, procurement, finance, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive strategic stakeholder engagement across internal teams, contractors, consultants, and client leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment between project objectives, operational requirements, and construction activities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Manage contractor performance, change orders, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, invoices, and project documentation.
- Support capital planning, project funding requests, and business case development.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project delivery.
- Lead project meetings, executive updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to infrastructure delivery, project controls, and construction management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- 8-12 years of experience in construction project management or program management.
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure, utility, heavy civil, industrial, or critical infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in infrastructure delivery and capital project execution.
- Experience managing projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, scheduling, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience managing contracts, change orders, RFIs, purchase orders, invoices, and contractor relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage executive leadership, project teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience with heavy civil construction, utility infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, energy, or other critical infrastructure projects.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- OSHA 30 or other construction safety certifications.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital programs and infrastructure initiatives.
- Ability to travel quarterly as required.
