Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Compliance Counsel at Legally.io. The Compliance Counsel will oversee the alignment of the company’s operations with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, supporting the creation and review of legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing strategic legal advice. The role also involves evaluating current practices, identifying areas of improvement, and assisting in the development of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Legal Research, and Risk Management
• Experience in Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Legal Documents
• Strong Knowledge of Contract Law, GDPR, and Data Privacy Regulations
• Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Communication Skills
• Proficiency in using legal tech tools and platforms
• Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Dutch, French, or Spanish) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; legal qualification preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting
