Position: STEM Math IMO Expert Type: Short-term Contract Compensation: $15.3/hr Location: Remote Commitment: 8 hours per day with 4 hours overlap with PST Duration: 3 Months Start Date: Immediate Role Responsibilities Design original, challenging competitive mathematics problems at AIME, HMMT, and IMO level Create novel Google-proof problems that test deep reasoning abilities of large language models Solve complex mathematical problems independently with clear, step-by-step reasoning Write detailed, logically structured, self-contained solutions using proper LaTeX formatting Review model-generated mathematical solutions and identify errors in reasoning, final answers, or instruction following Diagnose where and why an AI model s mathematical reasoning breaks down Classify prompts by domain, sub-domain, topic, and proficiency level Contribute to building new evaluation benchmarks for Olympiad-level mathematics Requirements Candidates pursuing or holding a Bachelor s/Master s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field are eligible and encouraged to apply Strong command of competitive mathematics at the level of AIME, HMMT, and IMO Expertise across Algebra, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Geometry Prior experience in competitive mathematics, such as Olympiads or equivalent examinations, as a participant, coach, or problem setter is a bonus Excellent structured written communication skills Fluency with standard LaTeX delimiters for all mathematical expressions Strong analytical and proof-based reasoning skills Creative and lateral thinking ability to design original problems not copied from online repositories Ability to provide precise feedback and error diagnosis on model outputs Comfortable working independently in a remote setup Desktop/Laptop setup with a good internet connection LinkedIn profile is mandatory to be mentioned in the resume Preferred Qualifications Prior participation, coaching, or problem-setting experience in national or international Math Olympiads Ability to create problems that cannot be solved through brute-force or simple computational methods Strong understanding of mathematical logic, structured proofs, and rigorous solution writing Experience evaluating or reviewing mathematical reasoning is a plus Application Process Apply/Easy Apply and check email for application form Fill Application Form Interest Check Form & Google Form (post shortlisting) Delivery Review & Interview Final selection and Onboarding
