With €5,000 borrowed from his parents, he recruited 50 drivers and built the first version of the app. His brother Martin Villig and co-founder Oliver Leisalu later joined him to grow Bolt into the global platform it is today. 2013 Bolt was founded in Estonia by Markus Villig.
