Community & Social Media Manager — Mobile Game (Part-Time Contract)

Company Overview

We're a mobile game studio heading into the launch of a free-to-play hero-collector set in an original cat-themed world. We're looking for a hands-on Community & Social Media Manager to own our social channels and player community day-to-day as we move towards beta and global launch.

This is an execution-first contract role for someone who loves both making content and driving growth. You'll create and post across our channels, build and energize our Discord community, and run marketing campaigns that turn a cat-loving, gacha-playing audience into a loyal player base. You'll have real ownership and fast feedback.

What you'll do:

• Create and publish content across TikTok, Instagram, X, and other channels — short-form video, memes, art showcases, dev updates, and community spotlights
• Own and grow our Discord community: engagement, events, and turning members into advocates
• Plan and run social and community campaigns tied to beta, soft launch, and global release
• Track engagement, follower growth, sentiment, and community health, and iterate quickly
• Stay on top of gaming, gacha, and meme trends and act fast

What we're looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in gaming marketing — community management, social, or content for a game (mobile and/or gacha/hero-collector experience preferred)
• Genuinely hands-on with content creation and posting — able to shoot, edit, caption, and ship independently
• Strong instincts for gacha, anime, and pet/cat-loving audiences
• Self-directed and resourceful, comfortable owning outcomes in a small team
• Reliable availability of 20–40 hours per week with overlap with Pacific Time
• Excellent written English

Nice to have:

• Active in gacha/hero-collector or anime gaming communities
• Basic design/video editing (Canva, CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
• Experience supporting a beta or soft launch

Details:

• Contract, remote, part-time (20–40 hours/week), ongoing through beta to global launch
• Pay range: $20–35 USD/hour, depending on experience
