Commercial Lawyer | 3–10 PQE High-Growth Technology Scale-Up

We're working exclusively with a fast-growing, ambitious technology scale-up seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join its lean, high-calibre legal team on an interim basis - covering a period of maternity leave.

This is a rare opportunity to embed yourself within a dynamic, entrepreneurial business punching well above its weight. The legal team is small but exceptionally pedigreed - and the environment is fast-paced, intellectually stimulating and genuinely exciting.

With active M&A activity and a refinancing currently underway, this is a business with serious momentum. You won't be working on those deals directly, but you'll be the person keeping the commercial engine running while the team's attention is on the big ticket items - which means real responsibility and genuine visibility from day one.

The Opportunity

You'll step into a broad commercial remit, acting as a trusted adviser across the business and ensuring day-to-day legal operations run smoothly. The work is varied, hands-on and well-suited to someone who enjoys being close to a business and getting things done.

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across the business
• Advise on and manage NDA and confidentiality frameworks
• Review and negotiate supplier and vendor agreements
• Advise on IP-related commercial matters
• Support the wider legal team as needed across a range of matters
• Partner directly with business stakeholders across a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor, c.3-10 PQE
• Strong commercial contracts experience - private practice and/or in-house
• Russell Group university and City law firm training preferred
• Sharp, commercially minded and able to operate autonomously from day one
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused and confident managing stakeholder relationships without hand-holding
