This is your opportunity to put your hands-on cloud experience to work shaping how AI reasons about security incidents, misconfigurations, and risk — before those gaps end up in production systems. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week (flexible) What You'll Do Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns Review and evaluate IAM policies, network configurations, storage permissions, and container security setups Classify security gaps and vulnerabilities based on real-world impact and blast radius Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold Help build datasets and evaluations that make AI smarter about cloud infrastructure security Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major cloud platforms Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they escalate Able to clearly articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender) Background in cloud penetration testing, incident response, or security engineering Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or equivalent Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research teams Fully remote and flexible — complete tasks on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Make a real impact on how AI understands and reasons about cloud security Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
