If you've worked in cloud security production environments, spotted misconfigurations before they became incidents, or traced blast radius through a compromised IAM chain, this role was built for you. Your expertise will directly shape how the next generation of AI reasons about cloud security. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns Review and evaluate IAM policies, network configurations, storage permissions, and container security postures Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world business impact Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents unfold in practice Provide structured expert feedback that helps AI systems develop deeper, more reliable security intuition Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production Solid familiarity with cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts Direct experience with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, or cloud forensics Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and downstream business impact Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) Background in cloud security engineering, DevSecOps, or incident response Familiarity with frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM Prior work contributing to security datasets, red team exercises, or threat modeling Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems being built with top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work that makes AI security reasoning more accurate and trustworthy Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
