Right now, we're looking for experienced cloud security practitioners to help us make AI smarter about how cloud environments actually fail. This is your chance to put your hands-on security expertise to work on something that matters — shaping how frontier AI systems understand cloud risk, misconfigurations, and real-world incident patterns across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, failure patterns, and root causes Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in realistic cloud environments Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities based on real-world impact and severity Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold Help build datasets and evaluations that teach AI systems to reason about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across major providers Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they escalate Able to clearly reason about and articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and downstream business impact Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience in cloud penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or equivalent Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud or CSA CCM Prior experience contributing to AI training, evaluation, or labeling projects Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Make a real impact by teaching AI to understand cloud security the way practitioners do Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
